The Angelic Host

Secular humankind has always longed for a non-God solution for the origination of life.  Not being able to satisfy that longing on earth, with the obvious profound complexity and beauty of creation around us, we think that if we find some form of simple life structure, given the extreme distance and bleakness we understand of outer space, we can somehow satisfy our rationality to not be accountable to the Creator God who made heaven and earth.

Some sixty-three years ago Russia launched its first spacecraft, Sputnik 1 on Oct. 4, 1957.  The race for space dominance had begun.

Forty-three years ago, on September 5, 1977, NASA launched Voyager 1 on a grand tour of the planets in our solar system and then to be sent out into interstellar space.[1]  One of the goals for Voyager was to search for life.

Astronomers often speak of stars or galaxies being only a few “light years” away, sometimes leaving the public thinking that if we have a fast enough rocket ship, or develop a “warp speed” sometime in the future (like Star Wars), we might be able to reach those planets.  Is 38,000 miles an hour fast enough?

Recently there was a headline about an “earth-like” relatively close exoplanet…only 620 light-years away… “‘Lost planet’ rediscovered 620 light-years from Earth.”[2]

Interesting.  Voyager 1 (our first space probe) is now almost 24 billion miles away.  It has taken 43 years at 38,000 miles an hour to travel those 24 billion miles.  24 billion miles seems like gigantic distance, but it is really only a fraction of onelight year (one light yr.= 5.88 Trillion miles).  The distance between stars and galaxies in space is awesomely breathtaking…our Milky Way galaxy, by the way, is estimated to be around 100,000 light years wide.  How did all those stars and galaxies (trillions and trillions of them) find themselves in space?  Who placed everything so precisely…and at such great distances?

One of the major goals of the scientists and astronomers who launch probes and rockets into space is to identify life outside of our planet, with the hopeful anticipation of also finding the origin and meaning of life on the earth…without needing a personal Creator.

From the beginning of the Space Age, countless hours of thousands of brilliant astronomers and trillions of dollars have been spent on space exploration…

but viable life in space has never been found.

When you don’t want to believe in God you have to spend a lot of time and money trying to find out how you and all the profoundly amazing things around you came to exist.

Are we alone?  Are there other forms of life in the universe that scientist cannot find, expose or identify?

Are humans cruelly exiled on this tiny planet spinning alone in the cosmos – the only known life-sustaining place in the universe, to live out our short lives without purpose or reason and then suffer, die and dissolve into dust in a meaningless grave?

Are all of humankind alone, exiled on earth far away from all other known life forms,

or, are there millions, billions, trillions or exponentially many more beings in the universe…abounding in heaven and on the earth, unseen to the human eye and much more sophisticated and powerful than anyone on earth could ever dream?

Daniel offers a prophetic vision some 2,500 years ago that gives a clear picture of myriads of angelic beings surrounding the Court Room of the Ancient of Days…with the balance of Scripture concurring.

Daniel 7:9–10

9 “As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. 10A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.

Could these powerful spiritual beings, good and bad, profoundly affect all of humanity for good or evil?

Could they have a continuous influence on all of those oblivious to them on earth?

We have never been alone.

The Bible records many incidents of angelic beings who serve as dedicated messengers and servants of God, or their counterparts who are rebellious devious opponents of the God, who created all things.

We are most definitely not alone!

The Angelic Host

The subject of Angels is always mysterious.  Angels are normally invisible supernatural beings to us.  We cannot ordinarily see spirit beings unless God allows them to reveal themselves.

Today, we are able to glimpse the angelic host from a Biblical perspective, because the Bible has a lot to say about their existence and what they do in relationship to those on earth.  The Scripture is full of reality about angels and demonic spirits (“fallen angels”).

Jesus and the 72,000 Angelic Warriors

Jesus knows about angels.  When the Last Supper was over and Passover had almost come, the temple guard came to arrest Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.  Simon Peter brandished his sword aiming to do some serious damage to those threatening his Master.  Jesus told him to put his sword away, and then He told Peter why.  If Christ had chosen, He could have called on His Father, and His Father would have, at once, provided Him the protection of twelve legions (up to 72,000, according to numbers of the Roman Legions) of angelic warriors, but Jesus did not ask for this protection of angels – and He didn’t need Peter’s sword.

Matthew 26:52–53

52 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels

Elisha and Angels

Do you remember when the king of Syria was complaining that there must be a traitor in his inner circle, because the Israelites always knew his plan to ambush the king of Israel?  His advisors told him that there were no traitors; it was instead, the prophetic work of Elisha, living in Dothan, who could tell the Israelite king what was happening in the king of Syria’s own private chambers.

The Syrian king had dispatched an army during the night to surround Dothan and capture the prophet.  This was a shock to Elisha’s servant when he went out on the veranda the next morning and saw enemy troops, horses and chariots menacingly engulfing the city.  He rushed back inside calling out to Elisha, “Oh sir, what will we do now?”

“Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!”  Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. (2 Kings 6:16-17)

The angelic presence was palpable to Elijah and his servant.  There was no more fear of the great army of men.  There is more to this story which you can read in 2 Kings 6:8-23.

Angels are Spiritual Beings

There are 281 direct references mentioning angels in the Scripture, primarily in 17 Books in the Old Testament and 17 Books in the New Testament.

God created Angels with the ability to choose to obey God, or disobey Him.

There are good angels who serve God and there are evil angels who have disobeyed God and who hate and despise God because they did not succeed in their rebellion, and were cast out of heaven (Ezekiel 28:11-19; Rev. 12:4,7-10).

God’s Angels are ministers from God sent for our protection and blessing.

“Fallen angels” are prideful and powerful angels who are spiritistic emissaries and deceptive “angels of light” from Satan, who want to be worshipped themselves. These want to look wonderful, knowledgeable and good - just like or better than God’s angels, but instead, these devious spiritual beings are powerful evil twisters of the truth, tempting and damming souls whenever they can.

Galatians 1:7b-8

…There are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

2 Corinthians 11:13–15

13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Let’s continue to look at what the Bible teaches about Angels.

Angels Worship God and Rejoice around His Throne

·      “Bless the Lord, you his angels” (Ps. 103:20);

·      “Praise Him, all his angels” (Ps. 148:2);

·      At the creation the sons of God shouted for joy (Job 38:7);

·      A multitude of the heavenly host were praising God at Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:13);

·      And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him” (Jesus) (Heb. 1:6).

Revelation 5:11–14

11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they sang:

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,

to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength

and honor and glory and praise!”

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb

be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Revelation 7:9–12

9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever.  Amen!”

Angels are warriors for God

·      God sent the “destroyer” (or “Company of destroying angels”) to kill the firstborn in Egypt and conclude God’s execution of judgment on the gods of Egypt, at the Passover, when the Israelites, Egypt’s former slaves, left for the promised land. (Ex. 12:23; Heb. 11:28; Ex. 12:12; Num. 33:4; Ps. 78:79).

·      And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel – the Israelites in the wilderness (1 Cor. 10:10; Num. 14).

·      The angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrians who had besieged Jerusalem to destroy it (2 Kgs. 19:35).

·      The angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem after David’s sin of numbering the people (2 Sam. 24:16; 1 Chr. 21:15).

Angels are sent to care for those who will inherit Salvation

“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”  Hebrews 1:14

·      God will give his angels charge of you (Ps. 91:11; Matt. 4:6; Luke 4:10);

·      “The little ones” – those who humble themselves and have faith in Christ as a child (Matt. 18:1-6) – [These little one’s] angels’ in heaven “always behold the face of my Father” (Matt. 18:10);

·      There is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10);

·      The poor man [Lazarus] died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom (Luke 16:22).  “Absent from the body … at home with the Lord.” (2 Cor. 5:6).

·      The angel of the Lord camps around those who fear God to deliver them (Ps. 34:7);

Angels are not to be worshipped

Angels serve and minister at the will of God, and are not to be worshipped (Col. 2:18; Rev. 19:10; Rev. 22:9).

Colossians 2:18–19

18 Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, 19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

Revelation 19:9–10

9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” 10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 22:8–9

8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

God has sent His Angels to be involved in the lives of His People throughout History

·      The angel of the Lord went before the Israelites as they traveled to the Promised Land (Exod. 23:23);

·      The angel of God’s presence saved Israel when they were in their distress (Isa. 63:9);

·      God sent his angel and delivered Daniel from the lions (Dan. 3:28);

·      An angel fed Elijah (1 Kgs. 19:5; 1 Kgs. 19:7);

·      An angel appeared to Mary and Joseph regarding Christ’s Virgin Birth (Matt. 1:18-25; Luke 2:26-38);

·      Angels from the Lord appeared to the shepherds at Christ’s Birth (Luke 2:9-13);

·      An angel warned Joseph to flee to Egypt to protect baby Jesus from Herod (Matt. 2:13);

·      Angels ministered to Jesus after he was tempted in the wilderness (Matt. 4:11; Mark 1:13);

·      An angel from the Lord ministered to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:43);

·      An angel of the Lord rolled away the stone from tomb at the Resurrection of Jesus (Matt. 28:2–7);

·      There were two angels seated where Jesus’ body had been in the tomb (John 20:12);

·      Men with white clothes were at Christ’s resurrection (Mark 16:5–7; Luke 24:4–7);

·      Two men in white clothing were at Christ’s ascension (Acts 1:10);

·      Cornelius saw an angel of God in a vision (Acts 10:3; Acts 10:22; Acts 10:30; Acts 11:13);

·      An angel of the Lord opened the prison doors for the Apostles (Acts 5:18-19);

·      An angel of the Lord directed Philip (Acts 8:26);

·      An angel of the Lord released Peter from prison (Acts 12:7–10);

·      An angel of the Lord struck Herod so he died (Acts 12:23);

·      An angel appeared to Paul (Acts 27:23–4);

·      Seven angels will pour out the bowls of the wrath of God upon the earth during the Great Tribulation (Rev. 15:7; 16:1).

Why does God pour His Wrath on the World?

This brings us all the way back to the problem of sin and the Angelic Rebellion.

The Angelic Rebellion

Wherever there is goodness, righteousness, justice and peace, there is always the potential for dissatisfaction, pride, rebellion and sin (and death).

A Catastrophic Angelic Fall

Angels were not created to be always perfect – as we are not created to be always perfect …but angels accessed the very courts of heaven.

How does the Angelic Fall accomplish God’s Purposes?

How can deceit, hypocrisy and deception be found out, and honor, integrity, loyalty and love be authenticated?

Through what practical process did God seem to use, to reveal to everyone the saving faith of those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life…who will also be Christ’s Bride in His Eternal Kingdom?

Just as Jesus Christ foreknew Judas Iscariot, but chose him as one of His disciples, to be a “negative key person” in the process of Christ’s Redemptive Sacrifice, so also before the foundation of the world, God foreknew His creation of “Lucifer”/“Day Star son of Dawn.”  God originally created him as a glorious “anointed guarding cherub,” who fell because of pride to become a “negative key supernatural person,” but also to have a critical part in God’s Eternal Plan of Redemption.

How do “negative keys” disclose hypocrisy and deception in fallen angelic beings or faithless human beings?  What proof do the judicial courts of heaven provide to condemn or reward having the “clearest judgments?”  Is it probable that God allowed these “negative keys” to rise up to provide powerful alternative choices to reveal the true faithless and unbelieving heart?

Scriptural Glimpses of the Angelic Rebellion

The Scripture doesn’t give exact timelines of this Rebellion to be chronicled specifically in any manuscript or chapters of a book, but it gives us occasional glimpses of the Angelic Uprising against God, in key sections of the Bible – mostly through a veiled or figurative context.

We understand that general sequence of events of the Angelic Rebellion to be as follows:

1.  The Creation of the Beautiful and Wise, “the Anointed, Guarding Cherub”  (Biblically recorded under the name of an earthly counterpart, the “King of Tyre”)

Ezekiel 28:11–19

11 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me: 12 “Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God: “You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared. 14 You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you. 16 In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you, O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you. 18 By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries; so I brought fire out from your midst; it consumed you, and I turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all who saw you. 19 All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have come to a dreadful end and shall be no more forever.”

In the spirit of prophecy against an arch enemy of Israel: “the King of Tyre,” Ezekiel the prophet, while unmasking the spiritistic presence behind their earthly power – the prophet also unveiled insight into a critical dynamic in the origination of the Angelic Rebellion.

2.  The Corrupting Pride of “Lucifer”/“Day Star, son of Dawn”

(Also Biblically recorded under the name of an earthly counterpart, the “King of Babylon”)

Isaiah 14:12–17

12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit. 16 Those who see you will stare at you and ponder over you: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, 17 who made the world like a desert and overthrew its cities, who did not let his prisoners go home?’

In a similar spirit of prophecy, Isaiah the Prophet, speaking against the King of Babylon, unveiled the pride of “Lucifer”/“Day Star, son of Dawn” – a key element in the Angelic Rebellion.

3.  The Origin of Evil Spirits:

References to the reality of evil spirits and “demons” are throughout the scripture.  We know, from practical and observation understanding, that there is a strong evil presence in the world.  Just read the news headlines.  The Scripture gives multiple accounts of demonic presence affecting individuals, with, in some cases, many spirits afflicting them causing them to do irrational and sometimes terrible things to themselves and others. (See the demoniac in the land of the Gerasenes, Mark 5:1-20; Luke 8:30)

In the four Gospels alone, there are some 60 verses referencing “demons” and/or Jesus casting out demons.  Ephesian 6:10-18 gives us no uncertainty about the need to put on the armor of God in order to protect ourselves in the battle against “forces of evil in heavenly places.”

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places

We also know from the book of Job, of Satan’s accusing presence in heaven. (Job 1:6-12)

The passage concerning what Bible scholars have often attributed to Satan’s deception and recruitment of one-third of the angelic host, is recorded in a figurative vision of John in Revelation, regarding “The Red Dragon” and “One-third of the Stars of Heaven.”

The Apostle John writes metaphorically or figuratively of “a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”  She was expecting a child (we understand this pregnant woman to represent Israel (12 stars/tribes of Israel), who was the “mother” of the Messiah (the child) which Satan, the dragon, desperately wants to destroy.  In this analogy, the dragon is noted to sweep with his tail one-third of the stars of heaven and casts them to the earth.

Revelation 12:3–4

3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. 4 His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it.

Since there are no other specific references in Scripture as to the origination and number of the demonic presence in the world, many have attributed the clues from this passage to be regarding the Angelic Rebellion when Satan and his failed coup d’état to overthrow God originated, with the aftermath of them be cast down to the earth.

The devil and demonic spirits have ever since been pervasively seen as “spiritual forces of evil” and recorded throughout Scripture as being powerful antagonist against God and all His people.

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

How do God’s Children fight and overcome against these powerful forces of Evil?

1.  Becoming a Child of God (John 3:16)

John 3:16

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

2.  Putting on God’s armor so you will not become vulnerable to the wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:10-18)

Ephesians 6:12–13

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

3.  Resisting the devil (James 4:6-10; 1 Peter 5:6–9)

James 4:6–10

6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

1 Peter 5:6–9

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

4.  Claiming the Power and Authority of Christ (Revelation 12:10–11; Eph. 1:16-22)

The Sacrificial Death and Shedding of the Blood of Jesus Christ was not only for the cleansing of our sin, but it was also for the breaking of the power of the enemy of our souls.

Ephesians 1:19–23

19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Revelation 12:10–11

10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death

5.  Being intentionally aware of and using the protection and power that God has provided for us through prayer!

Ephesians 6:17–18

17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints…

Conclusion

God’s Seven Provisions for His Children

1.     God has provided Salvation through the very life of His Son – to be the Redemptive Sacrifice for our sins (Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14).

2.     God has given His Holy Spirit to reside within those who have received His Gift of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ and have been transformed and born again through the Power of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19; Col. 1:27).

3.     God has given His Holy Word to be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).

4.     God has given everything we need for life and godliness, through His exceedingly great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:3).

5.     God provides a “way of escape” so we could be able to overcome trial and temptation; and, He has given us His Power, through the Blood of Christ, to break the authority of the evil one in our lives (1 Cor. 10:13; Rev. 12:10-11).

6.     God has given His angelic messengers to “encamp around those who fear Him and deliver them” (Ps. 34:7).

7.     God is providing a Heavenly Jerusalem for His Own! Our inheritance realized!

Hebrews 12:22–24

22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Other Biblical Observations about Angels

Angels are observers of mankind

The angels long to look into the Salvation that God is providing for the Believer.

1 Peter 1:10–12

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

Those who Conquer Spiritually will be commended by Jesus Christ before God and His angels

Revelation 3:5

 (Jesus speaking to one of the Churches…

5 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

Gracious Hospitality may give you contact with an angel

Hebrews 13:2

2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

Angels will be Coming with Jesus Christ at His Second Coming

·      The Son of man will come with his angels (Matt. 16:27);

·      When the Son of man comes in glory and all the angels with him (Matt. 25:31);

·      The Son of man will come with his holy angels (Mark 8:38);
